On October 22, 2025, a groundbreaking partnership was announced in Shanghai, China. The Group on Earth Observations (GEO), Alibaba Cloud, and the Shanghai Haina Academy of Engineering have joined forces to pilot the Global Heat Resilience Service a bold initiative to help cities anticipate, manage, and mitigate heat risks.

The service is a scenario-based urban intelligence platform that integrates:
